We are looking to move to Loveland or Fort Collins area. It is just my husband and I, with one cat. Although we would like a two bedroom so we have room for our children when they come visit. We have a clear criminal history and make more than enough verifiable income, but have some issues with our credit. A majority of anything negative is from 2008 - 2010 when we were affected by the economic downfall. We were business owners and crashed hard, although we did not lose our home. So, we don't have any foreclosures or bankruptcies. The largest problem is that these companies keep adding the same accounts on our credit reports making them appear as if they are recent defaults. We have worked over the last several years to get back up on our feet and don't have any credit cards as we pay cash for everything. My husband is no longer a business owner and is employed with a company. We are just looking for a home in the Loveland/Fort Collins area to fit our needs without spending tons of money on application fees, only to get rejected. If anyone has any information on places that do not do credit checks, we would greatly appreciate it!! Thank you for your help!

I can't answer your question specifically, but I'd wouldn't consider Fort Collins as a smart place to rebuild oneself financially. My family started out strong financially before moving here, but now are fairly poor. Good paying jobs are very hard to come by, rental costs are high, and insane competition among homebuyers makes buying a home a pipe dream (unless you're one of the rich and wealthy).
