Hi,

My partner and I and our 5 year son are considering moving to Fort Collins. What is Fort Collins like for gay families? Also, how is Fort Collins for allergies? My son and I have pretty severe allerges and are considering Fort Collins as a pkace where we may feel better. Thanks!

1. I've no recollection of gay issues having been discussed in the forum before relative to Fort Collins. From all the postings here, FC seems a fairly diverse and accepting place, though Denver is for sure more accepting. If anyone has specific advice, please add it.

2. Here is a compilation of posts on allergies that may be of help: //www.city-data.com/forum/color...ergies-co.html

I agree with Mike, we are fairly diverse here in Fort Collins. I happen to know a couple of same sex couples that seem to get along with everyone fine. I guess everyone can have different experiences, but I don't think it is a huge problem here. We will always have narrow minded individuals in any community that you will or have probably come across but for the most part I think people are pretty accepting. As for allergies it is all going to depend on what you are allergic to. My wife came here from Nebraska and her allergies have improved, but I have heard of others who have had a harder time with theirs here.
