I am on a avg income and would absolutely love to move to FC but I am so afraid I will drown there....lol. I am by myself and have dreams of buying a little one bedroom fixer upper but would have to rent first. I can transfer thru my job but making the money I make I got a feeling I won't get ahead, or even stay the same maybe even drown.
Are there places I can get an apt a little cheaper than lets say $400? maybe I could handle max $450....??? Eeekkk, I kind of got a feeling this is going to be funny to some people, or think I am bonkers, but I need to at least ask, or I will never know! A studio would even suffice!

Are you willing to rent a room in a home, or share? If so, likely, you can do it. Apartment of your own? If you're lucky you can find a small studio, or a "separate entrance" in a house. Tell us more.

Not likely that you are going to find an apartment by yourself for that price. Your best bet would be to find a roommate. There are ads in the paper all the time for people looking for a roommate. As long as you are willing to do that while you are getting your feet on the ground you should be fine.
