Hi ~
I am a beginning bike rider & want to plan a fun weekend riding thru the front range. (Stops at bars or cool funky places included). Want to spend the nite @ a motel and then ride back the next day. Looking for a 40 - 60 mile ride, total. (This includes the way back).
Any suggestions for a good ride for someone who is not ready for the big climbs & hills of this length & criteria?

There are some great trails through Fort Collins. If you go to the city web site they have a map of all the trails. You could ride from Loveland to Fort Collins and check out all the trails and stop in the downtown Fort Collins area. Or boulder area might be good too. They are very bike friendly there but I have not personally been on any bike rides there.

I don't know how much of a beginner you are. This ride might be a little tough. I also don't know where you are starting from. Just assuming the middle of Fort Collins I did the following map to the Sylvandale ranch in Loveland. The ride goes on fairly quiet roads through masonville.
I'm not sure if this will work or not, but here is a google map of the route.
