I am really big into weight lifting, and just recently got started into the powerlifting style of working out with the intentions of competing by the end of next year.

I am moving to CO next may and was wondering if you guys would share personal experiences with any of the commercial gyms in the area. Thanks!

Looks like you probably want to avoid what I call the "yuppie" or "hangout" gyms. There are a lot of those around. I personally have not found a real gym yet. If you find one please post it.

There is a brand new 24 hour fitness at Timberline/Harmony. I looked at it and it seems really nice. The other one you might want to look at is The Pulse off of Shields/Drake. I did belong to that one years ago and really liked it. I now live in Wellington and go to the gym up there, which is why I left the pulse. There is one more 24 hour gym that I know about off of College/Horsetooth area behind Richies car wash. I can not remember the name of it right now.
