Can anyone tell me why there so many foreclosures around the Greeley Co. area. From looking at some web sites there alot of bank owed homes in the area, and its caught our attention since there alot of homes that are in our price range. Is there a reason - bad area, no work, too many people bit off more than they could chew. Also any info on the area would be appreciated.

You're right on your assumption with people biting off more than they can chew....now that you can get a loan with little to no credit and you can get 100% loans a lot of people took advantage of it and found they couldn't keep up with the payments. Another problem is we had a huge growth spurt and are over-saturated with new construction, therefore we had a lot of these neighborhoods in Greeley and Eaton start to built and when the buyers started to slow down the homes started to lose their value. We're struggling but starting to see a little sunshine! Fort Collins is the place to be - awesome town with a great vibe...thinking of coming out?
