Hello there, Floridians!

I am currently a student up in Jacksonville looking to relocate to begin my physical therapy assisting program.

Honestly, I REALLY do not enjoy driving and will take my trusty mountain bike for transportation at any opportunity possible.

I was thinking of attending Broward College (the campus near Coconut Creek...) but have NEVER been to the area and was curious if this town/area is "bike-friendly" (homes that are bikeable to the college, grocery store, bank, etc.)

Thanks!

This may help- it has a bicycle suitability map. I know that Broward has had a bicycle coordinator in county government for years.

Bicycles huh. A video my friend shot just the other day of someone ripping off his. You may not be prepared for the professional quality of life destroyers we have down here, but if you do try owning a bike, lock it up inside wherever you go.

Wow,vr2. Your friend sounded pretty calm during the whole ordeal. Glad that they nabbed the guy.

I always lock my bike up inside the house... I was waiting for your friend to jump his ass! What happened? ;-) So.. Is the town fairly residential-like in nature? Not too many highways?

There are a lot of big intersections and ignorant drivers.... having a car or using public transportation is definitely preferable over biking everywhere... especially with the frequent rain.

DM me if you want.. I live near Jax now but am from South Florida.
