Hello. Could anyone please tell me what's it like to live in Pembroke Pines, FL?
What is the cost for renting a duplex or something similar? Crime? Thanks.

Crime is fairly low, there are a couple petty thefts/auto thefts, but it is overall below average. a 1 bedroom duplex should cost around 850-900 a month, but you could probably rent a condo/in a complex for 950-1000. The area west of Palm Ave. is the most desirable and safest section, but there are not too many duplexes in this area. The area has plenty of shopping, but is REALLY congested on Pines Blvd. The residental areas in the areas west of Palm are mostly newer/suburban/pretty nice, and declining on the east side. About a half an hour from Miami, and an hour during rush hour traffic. Overall, it is not really my cup of tea because it is too crowded/congested for me, but there is nothing wrong with it, and is probably more affordable then some surrounding communities. The population is VERY diverse, no ethnic group really dominates. Lots of South Americans, African Americans, Jamacians, growing Asian population, Jews, and plain ol white people. The area is fairly affulent on the western half, and as I mentioned, declining to the east, but both sides are diverse. In fact, the wealthier sections are probably more diverse.
