A big thank you to Mr. Lovell. Had the robbers not been shot, they might well have gone on to commit violence against, or even kill, Mr. Lovell or someone else.

And thanks to the Stand Your Ground law that gives Floridians the right to defend ourselves. I'm not a big gun advocate, but in my op, this law makes sense. Innocent people should have the right to defend our lives - not just in our homes. Prior to this law, an innocent person had no serious defense against criminal assault. That's just plain wrong. Even if the perp was caught and sentenced, how does that help the innocent victim?

No such thing as an "Ex" Marine...... unless he washed out in bootcamp, which doesn't seem likely. He's still a Marine, that's obvious. For life! Semper Fi, keep the souls rollin' on towards purgatory
