2. How difficult is it to get a job that pays decent money?
3. How difficult is it to one find an apartment (I will need three bedrooms) and two actually be able to rent it as I single mom I have a some pretty bad credit issues and I'm worried about that effecting my ability to get an apartment and a job....

Any ideas? advice? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
The jobs in south florida in customer service are plentiful but low paying and usually the bosses are not easy to relate to. apartments for rent and at low prices are around because many people are leaving the area. The cost of living is high-lower than nyc and los angeles but high esp in relation to the salaries/ aslo if you did not grow up here or you do not wear the right designer bag- no kidding- it will be hard to get the job and if you do you will get paid less here. It helps to suck up to the paunchy head honchos of companies by going to blue martini bar and telling them you love their porsche

Hmmm...the chances are very low that you will find a 3 bedroom apartment under $1K per month. Also most apartments aren't so big...you may have to rent a standalone house (even more $$$). Also the chances that you'll make $3K per month in customer service is even lower (my mother told me..."never spend more than 1/3 of you income on rent!).

Back in 2003 when I was apartment hunting, I noticed that on some of the places in those little magazines that you pick up from the grocery store had income restrictions. This means that you had to make less than a certain amount (I think it was $30K back then) and your rent was significantly less. However I couldn't find any examples of this online.

Can anyone else in your household work? That may make things a bit easier!
