Hi - I live in Broward County; don't know the names of the various communities - there are many in the Lauderhill and Margate areas which I can not comment on.

Here are some links:
Deerfield Beach retirement active adult community
Pompano Beach retirement active adult community
Florida retirement communities and active adult communities in Florida

I am not a realtor - just in case you are wondering.

I live in Weston which is southwest Broward County and more specifically, in Bonaventure which has a large number of retirees. My neighbors, who are in this age range 70 - 84, enjoy a very active lifestyle of golf, tennis and other activities.
Good luck in your search.

Century Village in Pembroke Pines is a very large retirement community in SW Broward (where I believe you are heading to). It's not the nicest, though. But there are several dotted all through Broward County! Avoid Pompano though, too much crime.

She should probably look for communities in Tamarac, where there are plenty of choices. Palm Beach County has more upscale retirement communities, but thats a county up.

Default Coral Ridge Buildings

What about the Coral Ridge four buildings in Fort Lauderdale at 34th and 36th.

Any information regarding those?

Century village in PP is has the necesities close by like groceries, shopping etc less then 10 mins depending on the time of day. There is the CV bus that will take you around or you can take the city bus which takes you to more places like the library and will still drop you inside

My parents live in Kings Point in Tamarac. It's really nice.

Default 55+

Kings Point in Tamarac would be a suggestion. They have lots of activities and shows. Also Century Village in Pembroke Pines -- but i think the people tend to be much older. The Kings Point, is great -- the newer developments there tend to be on the younger side (55+) - as opposed to in the 80s
