Hi all! I am preparing to apply to grad schools for PsyD programs in Clinical Psychology and just wanted to put some preliminary feelers out there for various cities.
Nova Southeastern is on my list, however I know relatively little about Florida let alone the Ft. Lauderdale area. Does anyone know anything of the program itself or anyone that has been through it.
I have been living in Maine for the past several years,so I know this would be a huge change but I need to get out of the northeast!! I'm originally from the Philadelphia area, so I know that outside Maine crime actually does exist lol.
Basically I'd like to know what some affordable areas are within commuting distance. I'd like to be in at least 30 min commute of the school. I also have 2 small children (currently 3 1/2 and 10 months) so I'm looking for a family friendly area with good schools.
I would most likely also be working in the restaurant business to make ends meat while going to school.
Any direction for starting my search would be greatly appreciated!
