The majority of the "quebecois" people are concentrated in east Pompano Beach as first destination in Broward county and Hollywood Beach as second plece. There is more russians and eastern europeans in Sunny isles than canadians. A $60K fixer-upper apartament in Sunny Isles will be if any a little 1/1 in a run down and ugly condominium and for sure a foreclosure property when not a "short sale" unit for not to mention the maintenance condo fees.

There are tons of rude people in South FL, I will give you that. But the Canadians love visiting down here. I see Canadian license plates all over the roadways here, especially during the winters.

South FL IS NOT "the South". It was years ago, but hasn't been "the south" since the mid-80's. Lots of NY'ers flocked down here and lots of Hispanics from South America and Cuba. The population exploded and most of South FL is probably unrecognizable from what is was years ago.

What do I not like?

Hmmm... I wish we had a winning MLB team.

I'd also like the leaves to change color only on days I'm feel nostalgic. lol

The people on here complaining about people are no better than those they complain about.

I just miss winter once or twice a month, then I go to the beach and forget whatever I was thinking about.

Well considering we have a MLB team that won 2 World Series in the last 15 years, I'd say that's a pretty good record. We just have a lot of bad years in between.

back in the '60 and '70's, I worked with people and had relatives that were making the exodus from SFla, after being residents for many years....that is the first context I heard the saying, "will the last American leaving Miami, please bring the American flag.." I even had a bumper sticker saying that.....LOL

If the Marlins looked anything like they did in 2003 I'd love to root for them. I was pretty excited to root for the Rays all year, but Manny fudged that up--now Damon is going to be out for a little bit.

At least we're not the Cubs though...
