Lighthouse Point is very nice and a good area. In my opinion one of the nicest areas in East Broward with many streets with homes that rival Las Olas Isles, particularly south Lighthouse Point. Along federal you can find pretty much anything restaurants, bowling alley, Pompano Mall, two Publixs, Shoppers Haven. There is a very noticeable difference between east and west of Federal with Cresthaven and Pompano Highlands being much less affluent, very working class, and somewhat seedy in some areas. Schools for elementary I believe many go to Norcrest Elementary which is pretty good from what I've heard. Middle schools are not the greatest most go to private schools like St. Coleman's. High school many go private Cardinal Gibbons or go to Pompano High which is all magnet and the top public high school in the county. Hope that helps!

It is a very nice area. There is plenty of shopping in Pompano Beach near Copans Road and U.S. 1, and it is a relatively quick trip up I95 to Boca for Total Wine, the Town Center Mall, and the best Whole Foods in South Florida.

The only downside to LHP, IMO, is the public schools. I grew up there and lived there as an adult. It's a great town.

LHP is beautiful! My husband and I have been house hunting there for about 6 months, hoping to find something soon! Congratulations
