Davie sounds like the most straightforward option.

Boca is too far.

Weston is close enough. Straight shot on i-595 - 10-15 minutes.

Coral Springs is not too far, but you will have to deal with local streets to reach Nova area.

I completely agree with the comment about Boca Raton, and have crossed that off of our list. I think we have narrowed it down to Weston, Plantation, and Coral Springs/Parkland. Weston seems to be the best area with kids, but you seem to get more in Plantation. Yes, my head is spinning. I think we are set on University School for the kids, as I haven't heard anything negative about it. The kids are both active in sports, so I will need to find places for dance, gymnastics, baseball, football, etc. Does anyone have suggestions on a good website for rentals? In Orlando, the YMCA offers a lot of the kids sports, is that true down there, as well? Excited about the move, but still so much to figure out! Thank you for all of your advice!
You should check out YMCA in Weston!

If your talking about Nova, its a lottery to get in so if I where you I would have a back up plan unless your kids have already been accepted.

Just understand some big changes for the 2012-2013 school year are projected for Falcon Cove Middle, which is severely overcrowded. Probable domino effect to surrounding communities. Planning Tool for School Enrollment and Capacity I am very disappointed in the Broward County School System, as well as development which was permitted without much regard to schools. Just went to the 1st of several school board meetings yesterday. Basically,
in the western communities, there will never be enough room to support the amount of children projected for the schools, and now even less with the removal of the portables (relocatables) in the next few years.

University School is private. Anyone who can afford the tuition can go there. It's the Nova public schools that operate on the lottery system.
