Whatever dude. You live there then. Any visitor that drives through there is going to know IMMEDIATELY that it is radically different than the surrounding areas of Fort Lauderdale and even Miami. Even a FIRST TIME visitor is going to know that, so yeah, ju gonna be doin' lotsa splainin' to your coworkers about why you live there!

LOL Wilton Manors is the MOST GAYEST, FLAMBOYANT, HOMOSEXXXXUAL part of Broward County! There's no doubt about it! I go there for karaoke sometimes so that I DON'T GET HIT ON by straight guys.. Because all the guys there, like guys!

Original poster: Yeah go to a neighborhood that has more heterosexual, I understand it is inconvenient to have a thriving social life if you are surrounded by gays. I agree with a poster before she said that if she dated someone who was "straight" but lived in WILTON MANORS that would be sooo questionable because I automatically associate GAY = WILTON MANORS. Don't live there lol it's for the gays honey!! :P

Agreed. You will notice that in general there is a higher percentage of gay men in the general area of Fort Lauderdale and the eastern locales. Of course, that is the case in most larger and more cosmopolitan cities.

agree, wilton manors is almost entirely homosexual but there are also many homosexuals all over the city limits of ft lauderdale. the city became the gay mecca in the early 2000s. there is also a large trans sexual population and other alternative lifestyles. u will see it all actually

I'm always amused when someone uses the term "alternate lifestyle" to describe a condition that people are born with and do not "choose." And many aren't intending to be condescending when using that term.
