We have been happy with Embassy Creek Elementary in Cooper City. That area might work for you. As a former public school teacher, I am pretty impressed with the school. The principal and many teachers bring their kids to school with them. You also get more for your money in Cooper City. The houses we saw in Weston were on the small side for what we wanted and our budget. Good Luck!

I guess we were always looking north, I never considered Cooper City. I will have to start researching it. I appreciate the advice, and your opinion on the school.

Good point about Cooper City as it is quite close to University/595 area.

A vs B is meaningless. I would not want to send my kids to West Broward HS or to Flanagan HS in PP. I hear horror stories from the parents there about staff that does not care about the kids, is rude to the parents, etc.

More importantly, I hear (from parents) about how the guidance counselors at both of those schools are more concerned with just getting kids THROUGH high school with the minimum required. As a result students with the ability to reach higher receive very little guidance about college and very little support through the application process.

What I meant was that they have received straight A's for years, and that the last time they received a grade other than an A, it was a B and not an F or anything like that.

I've heard differently in regards to W. Broward High. Can't say anything about Flannigan since I have no idea.
