Hello,

Any other places where to buy organic produce other than Wholefoods in the Fort Lauderdale Area?

I like Whole Foods better but there is:

The Fresh Market - Experience the Food!

There are stores in Coral Springs, Aventura and Pembroke Pines.

Publix has a organic produce and lots of natural and organic foods. Different stores have a different selection so be sure to visit a few of them.

The Super Target at Sawgrass has some organic and natural foods at good prices.

Yes I agree on the Trader Joes!!!! We lived in Ft. Laud. area from but moved away in 2006. Happy can now shop again at Trader Joes up here in NY. Planning to move back to area and constantly begging TJ's to expand to Fl. They will eventually. Last i asked they said too much competition in area. Do not think that will be problem ,but guess their marketing dept. thinks it would be. They did recently open store in Greenville,SC. Not close but does show they are looking in Southeast area.

If and when they do Whole Paycheck will see business fall and TJ's will take off!!

Honestly, Trader Joe's is so 'Key West/South Florida' that I'm absolutely baffled at how they never established a location there!!! I hope they do by the time I move there. "Whole Paycheck" Lol!!! I like that! Whole Foods is ridiculously expensive. I think I spent about 14 dollars for a meal I put together at their Buffet Section. Good Grief!! Tasty meal, but man, was it expensive!!

I wonder what TJ means by too much competition... There is none, unless they are afraid of the Publix empire.

Honestly, there's nothing that I've seen that could be considered competition. To say Wholefoods is competition is ludicrous since they're everywhere out here, as well as Henry's Market, and the OB Peoples Food store. I mean, seriously, what'd I miss?

The local supermarkets (Publix and Winn Dixie) have extensive organic and natural food offerings. Publix has its own store brand of natural/organic foods. The Super Target stores also have very extensive offerings of natural/organic foods.
