Hello all:
I am a recent graduate with a BS degree, living in the Port St. Lucie area. My partner and I are a young couple and we want to relocate. one of the reason is because the job market here is extremely horrible(I know that is the case for many places). I am looking towards the Broward or Dade counties. We are looking to be somewhere that has more life, or atleast it isnt too much of a drive to get there and back home. We will be looking for a place to live that is in a safe neighborhood. I heard that Pembroke Pines and Weston are good area however I am not particularly looking for somewhere too too expensive. Are there anyother options that meet those criterion? What is the traffic like and the average person's commute to work? Is there an average rate for two bedroom apartment, condos or houses for rent? I will appreciate any information that you can give to me.
Thanks alot for your insight.

Can you define expensive? To some people, a $1500 condo is reasonable, and to some that's expensive. The rate for a 2/2 can range from $800 - $2000 depending on the area. If you are careful, you can get a decent 2/2 in a decent area in the $850 - $950 range, which is what I have my west tamarac condo listed for.

If you dont have children check out East Fort Lauderdale near the Galleria mall - its a nice area - but you will have to search and there are sketcy parts - but with the current market you may get some good deals. I would also suggest Plantation and west Sunrise (around Sawgrass Mall).
