Hi everyone,

I'm relocating from Michigan to Davie for school and I'm thinking of buying a condo in the area closed to Nova Southeastern University. Since I'll be in school for another 5-6 years, is it worthy for this type of investment? Also, can anyone tell me which neighborhood is safe?

Thanks

You can nab some great buys near Nova, just beware of some areas. It is block by block in that section of Davie. The more west you go, the better.

AS EducateMe indicated, there are some great buys close to Nova, however you want to be careful where you buy. IMHO, anywhere east of College Ave or Nova Drive, I would stay away from or for that matter anywhere close to BCC, unfortunately that area has gotten worse over time, you can look at Rolling Hills, that's a nice area and a lot of Nova Students live there, it's right across the street. Also, if you have a car, then you can find some great places at great prices in Pine Island Ridge, which is about 3/4 miles from Campus.

Thanks so much for the advice, EducateMe and sofla99. I just talked to a realtor today and he mentioned a condo that is on Nova Drive, the complex name is Nova Gardens. The price seems to be decent but I'm not sure whether the location is ok. Have you guys heard of this apartment complex and how good is it?
