Hi everyone,
I am doing one last HURRAH-cruise...for the whole family...the kids are getting older and leaving so I want this one more "family" trip...any how...I booked us a cruise on the OASIS...Royal Caribbean's MASSIVE ship. It is March 2012.

We are flying in to Ft Lauderdale on JetBlue. What is the easiest/cheapest/safest way to get from Airport to Pier and then back again when we return?

5 adults, 1 child.
Has anyone ever used South Florida Shuttles?

Any other ideas? THANK you so much!!!

Just take a Yellowcab from the airport to the cruiseport. They are right across the street from one another. At most, a cab would cost $6 each direction. You could almost walk there if it wasn't for security. You can catch a Yellowcab van right outside of the airport. They also congregate at the cruise port too.

Also, I think Royal Carribean has a bus that can take to you the ship from the airport. I don't know if there is a price, or it's free with your cruise ticket. Call and find out if you can hop on that for free.

I believe all the cruise lines supply transportation from the airport to the pier...for a fee...as long as you are leaving from the pier in Fort Lauderdale...if you are leaving from the Miami Pier you will need a van...not a yellow cab since you have 6 in your party...additionally...the rates are posted in the cabs/vans and the airports are a set fee...from A to B...goes by area...there are also taxi inspectors/coordinators that will assist you in getting where you are going...

The return trip from the pier to the airport is the simple...since there are tons of vans/cabs/etc... waiting to transport you back to the airport...they have people asking you where you are going and then direct you to an awaiting vehicle...usually a van that you share a ride back to the airport...my wife and I paid $20...or $10 each...but still cheaper than a yellow cab...
