Is Sheridan St. in Hollywood near or in downtown Hollywood? Or is it near Hollywood Beach? How about near Fort Lauderdale or Miami?

It starts from A1A at the beach and goes all the way west past I-95 / Fla. Turnpike / I-75 and ends at U.S. 27.

Starts close to Hollywood Beach. Takes about 10 mins to get into the beginings of Ft. Lauderdale (east side) and approx 20 mins into Miami-Dade county

Sheridan Street between A1A and Florida's Turnpike is the northern fringe of Hollywood. It borders with Dania Beach in that area. There are a few decent apartment communities that are affordable on SHeridan east of US1. Sheridan Ocean Club is nice. But once you go west of US1 the neighborhood is really bad. I looked at apartments there once and would not live there unless I lived on the beach. It is too rough there.

I used to live in the Sheridan Ocean Club. Decent apartment community. Location was excellent. Grocery store/Walgreens in walking distance, you are just on the other side of the bridge from the ocean (walking distance). Area has a "Quiet feel" to it too. West Lake Park is right there, prob the only piece of land in South Florida along the coast that isn't developed on. It's a great area to go running, walking, bike riding, kayak/canoe in West Lake Park. You are close to Ft. Lauderdale and close to Dade County.

Once you go west of U.S. 1 the area starts to get a little shady. Lot of Noseeum bug's in the early evening if you live around West Lake Park e due to all the woods...pretty annoying.

I almost lived in Sheridan Ocean Club several years ago. I was turned off by the lack of security. It looked like anyone could easily drive through the gates. The location was both good and bad. It was good because it was so close to the beach, you could jog there and so close to Fort Lauderdale. It was bad because it seemed like only a few blocks away your were in Liberia.
