My family and I will be moving down there from St. Louis in a few month. Im leaving a market that is great for nurses and have no idea what it is like down there. Any ideas on the average salary for nurses down there or how easy it is to find a nursing job? Thanks!

Hi there,
I'm not exactly sure what the average salary is but there are many web sites that you could check out to get an idea. I know it can be a little scary relocating and it's definitely more difficult when you have to find a new place to work. You're lucky that nurses are always in demand which makes things a little easier, and if you have a good amount of experience, I'm sure you'll find something right away. If you want to further look into your field, I recently came across a web site for travel nursing jobs if that may be of interest to you. I found this awesome infographic which will help give you a better idea of what it consists of. Good luck! Here's the Travel Nursing Jobs Infographic:

I don't think you should have any problem find a position at one of the hospitals.... The Memorial Healthcare System in South Broward County has 5 hospitals. Broward Health has 4 hospitals in their pool of hosptials. Then there are about 7 other hospitals I can think of in the Broward County area.
Average salaries I can't help you with - sorry

Nursing is a good field to work in in South FL. There are more jobs in that field than just about any other.

As I just posted in another thread, I lived in St. Louis for four years, and you'll find few similarities between there and here. Learn to love what you can about SFL and live with what you don't!
