Hi All - Davie to downtown Ft. Lauderdale commute during regular business hours. I'm looking at about an hour commute each way - is that right?

Would the same commute time be true for Davie to downtown Miami?

Thanks very much.

Davie to FT Lauderdale will be less than 1 hour for sure.

I do Coral Springs to Miami Airport, it takes me 35 min no traffic to 1hour I have seen so far traffic. It is a very easy drive, that is going sawgrass to I75 to Palmetto to Dolphin, however past the airport I would guess that Dolphin could really suck.

It does not take anywhere near 1 hour from Davie to downtown Fort Lauderdale. Depending on which part of Davie, it probably takes anywhere between 20-45 minutes in rush hour.

Davie to Downtown Miami would take you a good solid hour if not a little more..... There is usually back-up starting just south of Hallandale Beach Blvd. up until you can get into the 95 express lanes into downtown..... Some days I'll crawl for about 10 sometimes 15 mins from Hallandale to Miami Gardens....

The ride from Davie to Downtown Ft. Laud shouldn't take you more than 30 to 45 mins.....

Plantation to downtown Miami used to take forever. If you take 595 -> turnpike -> 95 express lanes you can get there in 30-40 minutes. Coming home for whatever reason was 45-60 peak rush hour. If you can leave earlier or later, it's definitely doable if you know how to and like driving :}

As far as Ft. Lauderdale...595 has killer traffic heading east in the am / west in the pm...might be a whole lot better when the express lanes open up. Otherwise some street lights are sychronized and as long as nothing knocks them out...really help with the flow. I think they've got Broward east/westbound done and university north/south. University through Plantation used to be terrible, now much better. Hopefully Broward also flows better now.

I used to find the major east/west roads like Griffin, Broward, Sunrise, Oakland Park, Commercial, Atlantic, Sample Rd, etc. took a year and a day to get from US1 all the way west. I have had to use Oakland Park or Commercial recently to commute east/west between US1 and University Drive around 6:00 P.M. and it takes at least 45 minutes. Not sure how the new sync helped those roads, but maybe Griffin is improved.

I have taken Cypress Creek home around 6pm a couple of times recently (from i95 to Sawgrass), and it took about 20 minutes to reach Sawgrass, mostly green lights all the way.

I have too, but it takes me about 20-25 minutes just to get between US1 and the Turnpike. I always get stuck at the train. The traffic around 95 is really bad too. Cypress Creek does flow quicker than the other highways once you get west of Powerline Road.
