I am a 31 year old guy in jacksonville right now and I have from some recruiters about positions in Miramar? is that a nice place? can someone tell me about it?

I have been to Miami twice and don't think I went to Miramar.

West Miramar is nice, east Miramar is OK to borderline iffy in spots. It is pretty much a sleepy residential suburb, working class to upper middle class, predominantly black-Caribbean population, large Hispanic population. A few high-crime zones but about 80% safe. Most of the business areas are in west Miramar. Areas to the south of Miramar are mostly bad with a few good ones here and there, while areas to the north are nice. Might want to consider areas like Pembroke Pines, Cooper City, Hallandale (east), Aventura, etc, depending on what you want, but west Miramar is fine.

You will be 100% fine if you aren't uncomfortable around black people from the Caribbean or hearing Spanish in public, although almost everyone speaks English. The west side of Miramar is not really a "ghetto" atmosphere except for maybe 2 or 3 small housing communities. If you are looking for a more anglo populated area that is suburban, you could try Cooper City or Davie, both are close to Miramar.

Swan Dive-

There are better places in Broward County to live than Miramar. You can commute to Miramar and live in a nicer area. If you are single, you may want to live further east near the beach. Places like Fort Lauderdale and Hollywood are close enough. You may have a 30 minute commute depending on where.

If living right nearby your work is important, I would look in Pembroke Pines, Sunrise, Cooper City, Plantation, or Davie. They are all 10 minutes away from Miramar.

Personally, I would not recommend actually living in Miramar. The Western part of Miramar is nice, but is mainly all gated communities with families. The Eastern part is downright sketchy. The population of Miramar tends to be predominantly minorities, not that there is anything wrong with that. Just giving you a picture of the place.

It is a myth unless you live in Hialeah or Little Havana. Everywhere else it is not necessary.

It's boring for a single guy. Commuting west to Miramar is easily do-able, from Fort Lauderdale (which has a lot more going on).

Same as Jacksonville good parts and bad parts, just like most cities.
