Hi all!! I just moved to south Florida from Jersey. In Jersey we have many Peruvian independence day parades and I'm trying to look for one either in ft lauderdale or in Miami. Can anyone help me out? Thanks

I wonder -- when Americans move to Peru (or any other foreign country), do they expect to find 4th of July Independence Day parades?

When there the population does make a cultural movement... yes. In Peru we have a high population of Asians and Germans as well and they get their recognition there as well.

That comment seems a bit snarky, don't you think? Especially considering all of the fairs and festivals we have for the many ethnicities that make South Florida home.

To the OP: the only thing I see that's going on in South Florida is a charity concert at the Miami Hilton Downtown on July 28th.

Vigo didnt your parents teach you if you have nothing nice to say don't say anything at all. And for your information I was born in Jersey and I am a proud American but I am also proud of my heritage. I also agree with 2 for the sea they have parades and festivals for all countries nowadays. And if you stop and think this country is made up with people from all over the world. I thank everyone for the info!!

1. I don't know Vigo.... why don't you move to a foreign county and tell us all about it !!

2. When you get to Peru and you need the U.S. Embassy's help on July 4 or July 28 and they're
closed..... don't come crying back home.....

3. Remind yourself (before you open mouth and insert foot) that most of this county (USA) was built
from people around the world

It's not ALL ABOUT YOU Papo !!!!!

Maybe check with one of the local Peruvian restaurants. There's one on Johnson St near the Broadwalk in Hollywood. Here's the website: Pachamamma Restaurant - Peruvian Restaurant in Florida, USA

I guess you've never been out of the country... America exports its celebrations quite nicely...
