My budget will be $3500

Needs:

couch/sofa

Please no Ikea. Thank you!

Thank you very much. I appreciate those suggestions. I haven't considered Macy's, I'll def check them out

Anyone else know of any like....non-corporate type of places. Maybe like an indepenedent furniture store that sells modern/contemporary furniture?

El Dorado has good prices, although all of their furniture is cheaply made in China (as is City Furniture and even Macys). Furniture just isn't made like it used to be, which is why I am a fan of antiques.
I have a couch from Baer's and am pretty happy with it.

There are tons of consignment shops with great stuff or craigslist.
(I'm trying to unload some furniture and when I saw the prices of what people were selling their stuff for on craigslist.. decided I'd be better off to keep my stuff - there are some fabulous deals on there!)
