Most home-invasions are not random acts, but are targeted. This could have happened anywhere.

That's quite strange, and I agree that it was probably not random - it looks like a burglary gone wrong (homicide in attempted robbery) or they were executed or else. I thought that was a decent good area - is it? I was even thinking of moving to Hallandale (but on the beach - A1A near Golden Beach).

Very sad and scary to know there is a killer still out there looking for his next victim.

The door was locked so it probably wasn't forced entry, sometimes you have to be careful who you meet and trust because there are people who are out to scam you and rob you and kill you.

People of Hillsboro Beach, Lighthouse Point, Parkland, and Weston can be just as targeted for an invasion/burglary. I wouldn't let this event influence your decision one bit.

It sounds like the killer knew the victims. Perhaps the victims owed money or something.

You're right. But it was really tragic and scary.

@Nolefan34 -why do you say it sounds like the killer knew the victims? Has there been more information on this case since it happened? I have not heard any update.
