Any recommendations for safe suburbs in either area?

In comparing the two regions, which area is typically:

-safer?
-has better schools?
-has a higher cost of living?
-more diverse?
-more vulnernable to hurricanes?

Any helpful insight would br greatly appreciated? Thank you in advance!

It's a tie largely except for schools with Broward County (Ft Lauderdale) winning in that category by a good margin. Weston, Parkland, Cooper City, Davie, Coconut Creek and Coral Springs schools are where I would focus. Personally I'm a fan of the lower density areas of Cooper City and Davie.

Broward by a small margin.

-has better schools?

Same. Might give Palm Beach a slight edge for less crowded schools.
-has a higher cost of living?

Marginal difference.

-more diverse?

Broward by a wide margin when comparing livable areas.

-more vulnernable to hurricanes?
Exactly the same, although Palm Beach has more family oriented areas east of 95 than Broward such as Boca and Jupiter.

Any helpful insight would br greatly appreciated? Thank you in advance!
Areas to focus with schools in consideration, in order...

Palm Beach: First choices- Boca Raton, Jupiter
Second choices- "west" Boynton (west of Jog Road), Wellington, The Acreage
Third choices (still very acceptable)- Palm Beach Gardens (selectively), Boca Raton between turnpike and 441

Broward: First choices- Parkland, Weston, Cooper City
Second choices- Davie, western Pembroke Pines
Third choices- western Miramar, Coral Springs (selectively), Coconut Creek (north)
