I am relocating from Ohio to South Florida for my job. I have been to FL many times but just as the typical tourist. With that, I am uncertain of where to be looking. I am a "young professional" in my mid 20's - so I would prefer a solid night-life/things to do and close to the water. I have been told to look at Las Olas and Sunrise BLVD areas. I will be traveling throughout all of S FL so the territory for the apartment is flexible, as long as it is safe. Looking for a 1 BR, pet friendly (dog that weighs about 40lbs), close to water with monthly rent at a maximum of 1500/month, from anywhere from Miami all the way north to about Boca Raton? I am moving by myself and do not know anyone so a nice friendly community with other young professionals would be great.

If you are able to name off specific apartment complexes that come to mind, that would be great!

HotPads - Map Search for Apartments and Homes for Rent, Real Estate, Foreclosures and Homes for Sale

u can specify exactly where u wanna live, especially being that u wanna live by the water.

so u can search my max price range as well as precise locations on a map. It's very convenient and with $1500 a month budget, you should be able to get a pretty sweet 1 bedroom

I picked a place on sunrise Blvd, I think it could work well for you too

Nice area, close to the beach, close to Las olas, presumably cheaper than brickell and south beach
