I want to take a day trip to the west side of Florida...I have a condo in Hallandale Beach...what would be a good day trip...prob about 2-2.5 hours drive? Is there anything to see in Naples? How are the beaches?

Wait until winter, Naples is dead this time of year.

I am requiring that you go to Everglades, Florida, eat at the Oyster House (901 Copeland Ave, Everglades, FL 34139) climb the tower, and then take a boat ride. All things will be apparent once you arrive.

Tiger Tail Beach on Marco has some terrific tidal pools.

Hey now ya better listen up and listen up really good, them places they be telling ya to go to are boring suck-fests compared to where I told ya to go. Why would you ignore me after I put forth a great amount of effort to provide you with an education of where you should go? I am outraged!

No, I'm currently driving it weekly and it takes me 2 hours and 45 minutes.

The drive to Siesta Key would really be worth the day trip. You can spend the day on the beach then hang out in the Village and have dinner and listen to live music at night.

It is one of the nicest beaches on the planet. Truly.

Naples is a lovely town with cute shops, great restaurants and a fantastic beach, and within your time limits. We love it there and the holidays would be a great time to visit. Expect crowds, though.
