We are moving to the Parkland, FL area soon and I need to figure out which of these hospitals have a better maternity unit since I can't be there in person to do a tour. Please let me know your firsthand labor & delivery experience or that of a friend or family member who recently gave birth at either hospital. The reviews I'm finding online are confusing at best so I think it might be easier to go this route. Look forward to all your feedback. Thanks!

You're going to have a tough time finding anyone who delivered at both hospitals that can truly compare. I delivered 3 children at CS in the past 10 years, and would recommend the hospital. The best thing you can probably do is decide what is important to you and figure out which hospital is most likely to offer it. I wanted an anesthesiologist readily available, good NICU, and a private room, for instance. With 2 of my deliveries, they were full and I had to share a room (and bathroom, yuck) for the first night, then was able to move to a private room. NICU (which I never expected to need but did) was amazing. The nurses were all great (and I had a LOT of nurses between the 3 births). Honestly, though, and I know how it is when you're starting out so feel free to ignore me - they are both good hospitals and you never know what your particular delivery will be like - you should be fine with either.

Stick with West Boca!!! I have my own personal reasons for that. Not to say that Coral Springs is a bad hospital....

I delivered at CS so I can only speak on that, I had a great experience with the hospital, private room that I did not even request. I am sure West Boca can live up to the same standards or better as well.

Good Luck and congratulations!!!
