We recently turned a small area of our backyard into a patio, had to excavate 3-4 inches of soil to put down sand and pavers. Now we have this extra soil sitting in our backyard that we have no idea where to discard.

Do you guys know where I can throw away this soil from my backyard?

LOL! Your property now has a rare feature in the area - a mountain.

If the area was really small, just spread it evenly over the back lawn.

Maybe one of the neighbors could use some extra soil for their landscaping?? I don't think there's an actual place to dispose, but you might be able to ask the city.
