Hi everyone, I'm looking to move in the next few months and I could really use some help with this. Some background info: I currently live in Weston with my fiancee and my soon to be mother-in-law. I work in Sunrise, while she works in Coral Springs. We are pretty open in regards to location, and are looking in Sunrise, Davie, Plantation, Coral Springs even Pembroke Pines. The real issue is that our budget is about a max of $1,200.

It seems like everywhere I look, apartments are either affordable but crappy or expensive. Is it so crazy to want a safe and reasonably nice apartment at that price? Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

Check out on yellowkey Pine Island Ridge -- safe, beautiful area. I used to own a condo there. Loved it. From my search, $1200 puts you in a 2-2. Good luck!

Try Plantation. You should be able to find a 2/2 in that price range.

There are some pretty decent condos in Plantation and in Sunrise for that price. You'll want to be prepared for payment of 1st month, last month, and security (so about 3 months rent total) up front. If you need any help finding things, please let me know.
