Hey all,

I'm going over the particulars about getting these two receipts and I'm a little confused. Is it that you have to get a Miramar Business Receipt AND a Broward County Business Receipt in order to do business in Florida? My particular business does most of it's business Online selling shirts and software codes, but it's located in Miramar county. Also, is it that for Miramar, $105.25 application fee + a $220.50 fee for inventory retail stock up to $6k, and an additional $150 + (I think....) $45 for the county?! That's a bit much to just start x_X... Or am I reading these wrong somehow?

Broward is a county, Miramar is a city within that county and both require their own business tax receipt, which have to be renewed every year. If your business is home-based, the fee for the city may be cheaper. You probably have to apply for the county one first in order to get the city one.

Actually so far if I'm guessing the prices right, then the county is actually cheaper. But that's my main question; if I'm determining these prices correctly based on someone who's already setup. Additionally, if these are correct, are these also the renewal prices (doesn't have to be Miramar. If you have more experience in another county and city, then please)?
