And, I agree that proper bike lanes are definitely the ideal, but we don't have them on most streets. Where they are present, people need to ride in them WITH traffic. Believe me, I'm not for scofflaw cyclists any more than I am for scofflaw motorists.

Obviously, I'm against screaming and waving guns. But I'm also against the attitude that cyclists should stay off the road or be killed by hothead motorists who can't stand to slow down for 10 seconds. A little more civility wouldn't hurt anyone, myself included.
I would agree with that. We should all be more civil. But playing tour de france in traffic is not civil. People who seem to be commuting on a bike, I have a LOT more respect for, and patience. But the people who dress up in their little outfits and take to 2 lane roads to exercise in traffic, I have no patience for that.

Note that where I live, we have very few who commute on a bicycle and they all use the sidewalks and paths. But we have a large contingent of wannabe Lance Armstrongs who almost always seem to enjoy being a nuisance.

Here is a great example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EqTFT_oh0bM

Scrub through the video. They take up entire lanes on a 2 lane road. They ride down US27 and swerve into both lanes of traffic. When there are large defined bike lanes, they still ride in the middle of traffic, etc. These idiots should be thrown in jail.

Cannot agree more. most of those idiots you see here in Weston are the same guys whose wives are f**** the pool guys because they just want to have the freaking saddle between their legs all the time and since they already have erectile dysfunction, there is nothing else to do than ride a bike. What I really don't freaking understand is why all of them have to dress up like they're professionals competing for a team that advertises their sponsors - like you said, they are just wannabes that need to be put under control.
