I am considering moving to Hollywood, Florida and work in Miami. Specifically, the Blue Lagoon area.

Does anyone happen to have the same commute? If so, can you share the best commuting route?

I've tried the drive and ran into very heavy traffic in the evenings leaving the Blue Lagoon area trying to get on I-95 North on ramp. It took almost an hour just to get to I-95. Is that the normal?

Thank you!

It has been my experience that I-95 has been a PITA. When in the area, we gut it up and use the tollways. Just do the research and look for side roads, or at worst, just chillin' for an hour.

95 is the fastest route and the only direct route. There are no other alternatives that are better. The local roads through Miami are gridlocked and won't get you north any faster. You can try, but you will fail.
