Ok, we get it..Weston has the "best" schools etc...but what about other areas along 75--specifically (western) Pembroke Pines and (western) Miramar. Is there that big of a difference in school quality between Weston and the rest of west Broward??? It seems like you get a lot more house for your money in those areas...what am I missing?? thanks all...

You are missing good schools. And a home town feel. I am not trying to be a snob here, but when you are in Wesotn, you get a different feeling. It is just built differently. The first comment out of most people's mouths when they encounter Weston is "it feels like I am in a Disney park". And that's right - Weston was built by the same company that had built Disney parks.

If you go to GreatSchools.com, you can see the difference in school ratings. I am not saying that other towns have horrible schools (although some do), but they are just not at the same level as Weston or Parkland.

Well, for the most part the schools out there aren't bad. They just aren't as good overall as the Weston schools.

Really what it comes down to is the individual student. Motivated students will do well in any of those schools. They aren't inner city schools, the crime rate isn't outrageous, they are perfectly safe.

The difference in Weston is that you find more of those motivated kids. That's really what makes the difference. Quality neighborhoods usually have quality kids, and by extension quality schools.
