Is Weston considered a flood zone, and if so, is flood insurance required and at what cost?

1. Type in the address of your property in the area at the top right, above the map titled “Find address or place”, and click on the magnifying glass to search
.
2. Use the tool on the left side of the map to zoom in and locate your property.

3. Click on your property and the FEMA Flood Designations box will let you know your current and proposed FEMA flood zone designation.

We used to pay $505 a year. This year, our insurance company informed us we were no longer in a flood zone. We live across the street from one of the Lakes in North Lakes in Wedton.

I clicked on several properties on the map and it looks like most houses do not need flood insurance anymore...?

I also got a letter December last year from my lender stating that effective 01/09/2015 they won't require flood insurance coverage for my loan because the structure at the property address is no longer in a Special flood Hazard Area designated by FEMA.

We were not required to have it. But by buying it with the same home insurance company and having a multi policy discount, the different was just over $100 to have the flood insurance. So, we did get it.
