Ok so I posted in another thread about moving to FL and becoming a realtor. I've narrowed it down to ether the northeastern part of broward (Lauderdale by the sea, Deerfield, pompano), or Palm beach county (Delray, Boynton, highland beach). I'm not ready for boca raton just yet financially, and Fort Lauderdale proper is too congested, for now I want to rent a place in the eastern part (along A1A or the intracoastal) of any of those places. I'm looking for safe, affordable, somewhat quiet meaning not too much congestion, area that isn't too far from fun, restaurants, nightlife. any feedback, how do these areas compare to each other? Any advice would help lots, I'd prefer from someone who lives around there or has before, or anyone who spends a lot of time in those areas. Thanks!!

A. Have a backup career in mind vs. "move to FL and become a realtor." Not too many people want to hire a realtor with no experience that just moved to an area.
B. Anything on A1A/Intracoastal will be safe regardless of city
C. East Delray/Highland Beach can be more expensive than Boca Raton
D. NE Broward is fine, it is full of older developments which tend to be lower priced

This pretty much hits the nail on the head here.
Northeastern broward is fine, it's just older in some areas... than in palm beach county, but it's still nice. I like Deerfield Beach, it attracts a bit of a younger crowd along with snowbirds, so u have a mix. Also, LOVE Delray Beach. Their downtown is great!

Thanks everyone for the responses it's all helpful. I think Deerfield is it. As for real estate I've already been in contact with a few brokers, once I finish the licensing course someone will take me on. I may need to take up part time work so I don't run out of money before I start selling but I'll work all of that out. thanks again everyone. Anything else to add don't hesitate.

Moving to South FL without a job and hoping to get by on part-time work while aspiring to become a realtor is not a good option. Your money will run out quickly here. And the realtor market is over-saturated. There are many more realtors than what the market can support. Most realtors I know are struggling to sell despite the market heating up the past few years.
