Can anyone share their opinions on this. I'm going to start work in Miami next month and would like to live in Cooper City (I like the area). How bad will the commute be to Miami on around S.W. 27th avenue and Flagler? Thanks for your help.

Awful. I don't want to sound negative but your commute (assuming it's during rush hour) will be a nightmare. The distances are far and there is alot of heavy traffic in the direction during the morning rush hour.

I'm not so worried about the am, I can always leave earlier. Now after I get out of work is what I'm worried about. This can be anywhere from 4:30pm-5:45pm. Do you think it'll take more than 1 hour? Thanks

Yeah it's gonna be rough because you're heading west and everyone else is too. Northbound shouldn't be terribly bad but I'd say you're looking at an hour easy.

The main problems in that commute are in the Miami-Dade area. During rush hour, coming fron the north, on one hand you have I-75/Palmetto exhange, that exit to palmetto is a nightmare, and the whole palmetto is usually stuck all the way down to dolphin expressway. On the other hand, you have I-95 south, which usually is stuck from Golden Glades down south to downtown.

Now for your trip back, the same problem with I-95. at 4:30-5:00pm is a nightmare coming out of downtown miami heading north, all the way up to golden glades interchange. However, Palmetto north and then I-75 at that time is not that bad. It would be longer in distance but faster in time. From Flagler st and 27th ave, yo can head west to 57th ave, go north to dolphin 836, take palmetto north and then exit to I-75 north.

Pembroke Pines Is Pretty Nice. Eastside Of Pembroke Pines Is A Ghetto But Crime Is Not Much Of A Issue Over There It Is Real "chill Mode" Over There. If You Are Looking To Move In A More Upscale Neighborhood Try "town Gate." Its Alot More Entertainment On The Westside Of Pembroke Pines.

well if your west, 75 south is cool before 7 am after that it get heavy and slow and once you hit the palmetto it gets real slow with the cars tring to get on the palmetto..if you need the palmetto uck its just plain bad always

i drive from pines i take 75 to gratigny parkway(toll) and before 7 am its a 15-20 min ride to hialeah e 26th street after 7 its 45-1 hour. if school is out the ride is 100% better and the after 7 is good till about 8.

cooper is nice and the ride is doable, you should also look at weston, davie, pembroke pines West of 75 and miramar west of 75 very nice areas and close to everythinggratney park way is great the toll keeps traffic down. and its only 1.25....... if you can use gratney it would help your comute.

That would be a horrible, horrible commute and the Grat. takes you nowhere even close to where he is working. He COULD take the turnpike extension down to the golden glades, than sit in a little bit of I-95 traffic in Dade and take the Airport Exwy to 27th ave...it would definitely beat the Palmetto/Dolphin thing, although I'm not saying it still wouldn't suck. Any chance of taking a job in Broward or possibly living in Dade?
