Hi guys, I might be moving to West Hollywood, specifically the Boulevard Heights area. Anybody lives there or knows the area well that can tell me how the quality of life is there? Are robberies common? Any other crime? Thanks in advance.

It's not a good area. Schools are pretty bad. It's somewhat depressed. As for crime, you should be able to call the Hollywood Police Department and talk to them about the area. This would be much more effective than a discussion here. Based on the area, I would suspect some crime, burglaries, etc. But it's not THAT bad of an area, either. Just low income single family housing. The area is heavily African American and Hispanic, if that matters to you.

Location wise, it's not bad. You are about 3 minute drive from nicer areas. You have quick access to the turnpike and all the stores and shopping going west on Pines Blvd.

Its really ashame that area is so bad. It reminds me of Hill Valley circa 2015 on Back To The Future Part II. A neighborhood that was once nice, but has gone to hell in a handbasket. Hollywood is in a good central location between Fort Lauderdale and Miami. There is no reason why it should be that bad.

That's most of "south central" Broward has gone. That entire area around North Perry, Miramar, etc. 25 years ago it was quite nice.

I'm curious where are you moving from? If it's local I may be able to give you more details on how it compares. What types of things are drawing you to the area?

There's much nicer areas to move into. The main thing I've noticed is that you can keep your large boats and campers in your yard. You can't do that in these HOA areas. For some people that's a plus. Those storage yards are a disaster....
