Possible job offer in Hollywood, FL.

What are some good areas to live in? Just want something nice, not over the top for $1200 a month.

Just don't want a dump or ghetto neighbors.

Used to live in miami, understand what south Florida is like but don't know much at all about the areas in the hollywood/ft lauderdale area.

Late 20s/30s married no kids.

Do a thread search.
This question, same budget, gets asked often.
Good luck!

I'm not really seeing anything.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Victoria Park in Fort Lauderdale is a very nice community - I see a few properties there that fit your budget. Otherwise, stay as close as possible to "East Las Olas Blvd" or perhaps Wilton Manors.
If you're planning to stay in Hollywood, then the closer to the beach the better - with your budget, staying east of US 1 is possible but not on the beach for sure.

Awesome thanks, that gives me a better perspective.

I'm not really too sure where we plan on living. Really it will probably come down to where I can find the best deal on an apt.

We definitely weren't planning on being on the water though!! Haha

Plenty of places on or near the beach for $1200 or less. 1 bedrooms and some studios.

For example: http://www.zillow.com/homedetails/19...98670839_zpid/

It's kind of hard to generalize, but try to stay east of Federal Hwy.

Cool, thanks for all the help guys.

Now I just have to see if my job transfer goes through or not. If not I will probably end up in Tampa or have to stay where I'm living now for another year
