Learn to park. I can't stand people who take up 2 spots.

The city has always been pretty willing to waive tickets on the first offense. There is a number on the ticket to make the request.

Ft Lauderdale BTS, a bunch of parking meter vultures. Preying on the handicapped by making up their own rules and time restrictions irregardless of Federal and State regulations. This town will do everything they can to Nickle and dime you to death. Scrooge had nothing over them. Crooks.

First Observation...

I see people parking over the line all the time. And in some of those cases it is because someone else earlier in the day parked wrong and caused a domino effect of bad parking, if you have a small car, you can probably still get your car in; but because the other car was over the line, you likely will be too.

I am guessing most people think you should leave that empty spot - because the previous jerk was over his line. Cities probably make a fortune because of this sitch.

Second observation...

If you try to park an oversize (but legal) vehicle in a spot painted too small, should you get a ticket? Or should you sue the city for only allowing small cars to park?

There should be a better way. This sound like excessive parking enforcement to me. After all, you are still getting the parking fees.

Last time I was there, I recall parking in a parking lot. Don't they have parking lots anymore...unless I am thinking about Deerfield Beach~? I like parking in parking lots better.

In Deerfield, the beach parking is paid for and kept track of by the license plate. What this has wrought is that on a busy beach day the "meter readers" are scanning plates and don't care how the cars are jammed into the spaces. The parallel parking is the worst, nobody pays attention to the lines anymore.
