Hello Everyone,

I recently located to Florida and I am currently in the process of purchasing a new home. I found a beautiful home I am interested in a community called Carriage Pointe Estates in Coral Springs. The community is nice, but when I drove east I noticed that there was an obvious transition in the quality of neighborhood. Is anyone familiar with this area? Is it unwise to purchase a home in this community or do the homes retain their value despite the adjacent neighborhood? Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there, funny you mentioned this area because I am currently showing my clients a home in this neighborhood. It is a good area and Coral Springs is a desirable town and neighborhood. If you have any further questions, I am happy to try and answer them for you

I always thought that Coral Ridge Properties made a mistake in allowing itself to be coerced by the State and County into building these low income neighborhoods. The area between Riverside and Woodside has deteriorated alarmingly.

I almost bought a home there about 6 years ago. I ended up buying in Cypress Glen and couldn't be any happier.

If I were you I would like west of University.

I'm a real estate investor in the area. When I was looking to buy a home 7 years back that was one of the communities that I was considering. I purchased a home in another community. However, I still check up on communities where I looked just because I wonder "what if I had purchased there?" The values in Carriage Pointe has gone up as fast as any other comparable upper middle class neighborhood in the area.
