All three counties are basically the same area and they are linked in many ways. In case no one else in this thread has noticed, Broward and Palm Beach counties are looking alot more like Miami-Dade everyday. I think this is a good thing, but many of you may disagree. Either way I don't think people should get so caught up about their little individual area. I think one of the main reasons that we have so many problems down here is because the different cities and counties refuse to work together on issues like education, traffic and crime. People in South Florida need to look at the "big picture" and realize this is "one area". South Florida is a mega-market with practically 6 million people and it's either the 6th or 7th most populated area in the country. Is their a difference between the Bronx, Long Island and Manhattan? Of course, but it's all considered New York City.

I think either rename the thread "South Florida" or Miami-Dade, Broward & Palm Beach, but keep it as one because that's what it is.

Long Island is not NYC. You're saying that Nassau County is the same thing as NYC? Just not true and fair. They have different budgets, schools, neighborhoods, costs of living and hockey teams.
I agree you can look at it as the "NYC Metropolitan area" or "South Florida" as a whole in some circumstances. But for the sake of these forums they should be seperate discussions.

You know what, as long as sunrico or keeper moderates, I am all in favor of the subforum.

Why not go ahead and give sub forums to every city/county while we are it.

CTR Exactly. I just looked and realized how many sub forums we have. And now they want to give the Ft. Lauderdale and Palm Beach a sub forum?

Maybe the Panhandle or the Keys, but Ft. Lauderdale just needs to be lumped with Miami and Palm Beach too because the cross information like you said in your first post. Just rename the Miami forum. People call Palm Beach, Broward, Miami-Dade, South Florida because its a tri-county metropolis.
