I had my son at the Plantation Hospital, excellent!
some of my friends gave birth there too and were very pleased, but that was 10 years ago for all of us so I don't know if it's still that great.
See if you can get any new information on it, good luck!

Default Hospitals

I am not sure where you are but I had my boys at West Boca Hospital and had a GREAT experience with both. I know some who have been VERY happy at Boca Community, Memorial West (Pembroke Pines/Hollywood) and Northwest Regional (Margate).

good luck!

Smile Best Hospital

I had both my kids at Holy Cross and had a great experience both times!

I live in Boca and would recommend Boca Community (new maternity ward) and West Boca also.

I gave birth at 3 different hospitals - Plantation General, Memorial West, and Hollywood Memorial. I wasn't pleased with the maternity ward at Plantation General, but that was a long time ago. Both Memorial West & Hollywood Memorial were very pleasant experiences.

Memorial Miramar is less than 3 years old and they have big birthing suites that look like hotel rooms complete with crown molding and dark wood finishes.

Default birthing

I loved Plantation General and had 3 children there but that was a looong time ago and the climate and clientele has definitely changed there.

memorial west is great but VERY crowded and there are possibilities of being in hallways.

memorial regional is good but dated rooms

Memorial Miramar is brand new and beautiful. My granddaughter was born there and the next one due in August will be as well.

I had my daughter at Memorial West. I liked having a private room. The labor and delivery part was fine. The postpartum area...well, I had a few issues. Not until the end of my stay did I have anyone come in for emptying trash (it had long since been full and I thought it was supposed to be done daily), my nurse seemed to feel that it was ok to show a male student nurse all of my post labor-abused parts and there might have been another thing or 2. Food was ok. The nurses I had for my daughter were great!

I thought it would have been less crowded since the opening of Memorial Miramar. I guess not!
