My girlfriend and I are moving to Broward this summer and are looking for a good apartment or condo for rent. We are looking in Plantation, Tamarac, Sunrise, and potentially up to Coral Springs. Looking for a 1 bed 1 bath under $1200 a month. If anyone knows any specific complexes that they have heard are nice or ways to find condos for rent rather than apartment complexes we would appreciate any help.

Thanks

There is a Complex called Blue Isles Apts in Margate, FL. 33063 It is located 5100 Sample Rd. For $1200 you can get a 1180 Sq FT apartment 2/2 a eat in kitchen. The rental office is 954-977-5007. The complex is really nice

Why Plantation but not Tamarac? Tamarac is a good deal safer than Plantation. Sunrise also has some very good spots for 1200 a month too. Parts of Welleby, areas near Sawgrass Mills, and 84 South are all decent areas where she could even pull off a 2 bedroom for that price. I would consider Davie as well, in the NSU area. There is a large cluster of affordable decent condos around there, especially look between University and Pine Island Rd and North of Griffin.

Where is Welleby? I know where Sawgrass Mills is and the Davie area you mentioned, but not Welleby.

It's basically Sunrise west of Nob Hill and South of 44th Street, although it's technically boundaries are hard to decipher to me lol. So basically let's just say all of Sunrise west of Nob Hill would be good for you guys and it's more affordable than other decent areas. The rents tend to be lower because the schools in most parts of Sunrise are especially known to be crap which brings property values down but it's still OK for singles or young couples. I always tell people in your situation to look into an area that looks decent, is decent, but has crappy schools so you aren't paying for something that isn't necessary.

Thanks for the advice. I had never thought about picking a nice area with poor schools, but I suppose that makes sense since we don't have kids. We are visiting Broward in a couple weeks to check some places out so we will keep that area in mind

It's "compelled to reply's" famous outside of the box thinking .
