You guys have all been great for advice, so now I'm back for more.

Mid 20's, landed the greatest job ever at a company in Fort Lauderdale. Very good salary, benefits, etc. It's a once in a lifetime opportunity.

Basically, I'm looking for:
1) Social life -- I hate the term "young professional", but are there lots of 20-somethings in Ft. Lauderdale? Or am I going to be hanging out lots in Miami?

2) Opportunities to get involved in the community/volunteer. People who really care about the community?

3) Mountain biking. Anywhere to do it in south Florida?

4) If you were in my shoes, would you make the jump to Fort Lauderdale?

Smile Moving to Fort Lauderdale

Congratulations on the job! Lots of opportunity here!

I think there is a lot to do in Fort Lauderdale esp in the Las Olas area.

I would look into volunteering - there are YP groups - I would personally recommend Junior League (are you female?) - you can DM me for more info.
The League really cares and gets very involved in the community; there are all ages and types represented; it is not all white glove type anymore; not at all!

There are some great pictures on another thread - check them out!

My husband and I are going to the Las Olas area Thursday night for dinner and a walk along the beach - after seeing the pictures, we can't wait to do this!
