My family is planning to relocate from California. We are deciding between Texas and Florida. We are looking at Broward/Palm Beach Counties. We have family in the area, but none with school age children. Commute doesn't matter. We want good schools and enough Jewish kids in the schools that our kids will not be the only ones.

We have been told:

Cooper City
Hollywood
Coral Springs
Weston
Parkland
Boca
Boynton Beach
Delray Beach
Jupiter
Palm Beach Gardens
Wellington

Any thoughts are much appreciated!

My sister and family lived in Coral Springs and my brother and his family lived in Hollywood. Both moved north years ago, my sister to the Melbourne area and my brother up near Ocala. They both felt it had become too congested.

We are considering Jupiter, but will not be raising children there.

Palm Beach County has a larger Jewish population so look at your bottom 6 cities first.

If you want a decent Jewish population, you may want to consider eastern Boca Raton (specifically east of the turnpike).

Hmm on face value i would definitely say boca is your best bet. It will have a decent amount of good public schools with a very large Jewish population. The districts with the best public schools are probably weston and parkland, but they will definitely not have as large a Jewish population.

Boca or Palm Beach Gardens.

Commute DOES matter here. A bad commute can ruin your life. There is no speed limit on I95 south of Palm Beach and driving is a nightmare. Most people avoid it.

Dallas and Houston are one of the least Jewish metros, at #35 and #42, respectively.

Kidyankee, reread please.

I was replying to Balkins specifically. He asked if there were any Jews in Texas not the highest populations of Jews.
